Crosswording clue dictionary (definitions/*.json)

The files in /data/definitions/ are adapted from Open English WordNet 2025,
which is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International
License (CC BY 4.0): https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
and incorporates Princeton WordNet under the WordNet License below.

Changes made: entries were limited to words in the Crosswording word bank and
respelled as letters only; each keeps at most six senses, with only the first
definition of each and at most four synonyms; definitions over 90 characters,
senses WordNet marks as disparaging, obscene or a slur, and definitions or
synonyms containing the entry itself were removed; plurals and other regular
inflections were given the senses of their base form; examples, pronunciations
and relations were dropped.
